Almost every day in the newscast, it tells about drug addiction and all the problems surround it. The crimes caused by drug addiction cover the news and can only be beaten by politic news. Drug addiction seems to be an unending problem everywhere all around the world.

I have a friend who was drug-addicted. He probably has used all the drugs available in the market and with that, used up all the money he has. There are times when he was out of money and he can’t find money anywhere in the house while his body is in pain and need to be injected as soon as possible. When the time came, he would sell anything he could see in the house just to have hard cash in a short time. One day, he broke his sister’s piggybank and nearly killed her when he found out that there was only twenty dollars in there. I did not know why his parents waited until he try to kill his sister to realize what happened to their son, but soon after that, my friend’s parents find a drug rehab help for him.
