Wear clothing from colored cloth blue and red if you want to add protection from ultraviolet (UV). According to researchers from the Universidad Politecnica de Cataluna in Terrassa, Spain, cloth blue and red color works better than the yellow color in protecting skin from ultraviolet rays of the sun of a destructive nature.
This discovery, according to researcher can be an inspiration as well as trigger the fabric industry to produce fabrics more effectively protect the skin from solar radiation. And color of cloth, according to them, is one of the most important factor in determining how well one kind of cloth to protect the skin from UV radiation.
In this study, the researchers colored fabrics in colors including red, blue and yellow and measure their ability to absorb UV light. The study shows, bluish-colored fabric has the ability to absorb the high, medium yellow color has the ability to absorb the lowest.
According to Riva and his friends, the results of the study was due to be published in the journal Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research edition this November 4, expected to be used by manufacturers in designing clothing fabric antimatahari more effective.
“However there is still a knowledge gap about how the color actually interact with other factors to influence the level of protection offered by fabrics,” explained researcher Ascension Riva, was quoted as saying HealthDay site.
